car washing
The wee kids across the road asked if they could wash my car, there were 4 of them, I asked how much they wanted they said 1 pound, as they wanted 25p each, not very astute business men, I said I would double it if they did a good job. They have been washing the car for over half an hour now, child labour is the way forward. Anyone need their chimneys swept?

You think they're washing your car, but underneath all that soap and lather 5 more wee kids are stripping everything but the shell.
I say 5, if they're any good it'll only be 2.

I always wonder what's the right amount to give the kids who strim our grass. If they just strim and leave all the dead grass for me to brush up, I pay them less. I'm a tough boss. I always ask them to strim the bricked driveway too because I hate weeding. But I wonder if that screws up the strimmer. I wonder does anyone else ask them to strim their driveway or in fact tell them what they want done with their meager gardens, or is it just me.
