Daddy Longlegs & Big Brother
I was watching Big Brother on E4 earlier and thought that the exercise had actually proved useful. One of the girls stated that Daddy Longlegs were the most poisonous insects in the world, but they do not have the capacity to penetrate human skin.
Unfortunately this is not the case.

They're called craneflys in the USA - a 'Daddy Long Legs' means a spider of sorts to them I think.

I too heard they were deadly poisonous, but only if eaten. Like you'd eat one of those things.

I have never caught a fish on an imatation daddy. I have watched fish pick them from the surface, but have never even had a passing interest in one of mine sitting on the surface. One of the old boys in my fishing club, fishes them wet below the surface,retrieving them and gets great results.
