did i mention i was going to San Diego ;-)
My business case for going to a conference in San Diego was accepted today, so that means I have the all clear for a 5 day trip to San Diego. I have never been to the States, and California is the one state I have always had the desire to visit. Aside of the conference I will have two days free time, to see and do as much as possible. I would like to go to Mexico for a day, but feel like it may not be worth it, and perhaps I should spend the two full days getting to see some of the city. Anyway if anyone has ever been, please let me know what not to miss.

San Diego is a beautiful city - but you may as well if you have the chance to see Tijuana take it. Get to the beach too if you can!

If you're into zoos, San Diego's got a world famous one. Mexico is great, but Tiajuana can be really depressing in the really poor areas - it's worth the experience (a reality eye-opener), but be prepared. And LA (my hometown) is only about 1 1/2 hours - 2 hours north, if you've ever been curious about Tinsel Town.

Thanks for the info, I would like to visit the Zoo, it is only 2 miles from the hotel, so I reckon that will be on the list. I would love to see LA, I would love to see Vegas, I would love to go to Mexico. So much to do, so little time.

Well, if you wind up making the trek to L.A., give me a holler if you want a tour guide.
