gambling's for fools

I am spending a very enjoyable evening editing mini disc compilations for my flight to the States. It's like being back in the 80's chopping and recording with a double tape deck. It's great fun hoking through your collection, and rearranging your choice bits to a new recording,I have just started with Goldie 'Timeless' followed by Motorhead 'Ace of Spades', I like to put two totally different tracks together, especially so I can look really cool and alternative if someone asks to borrow my MD player on the plane. ;-)

Bastard, putting that song in my head.

You should consider getting yourself an MP3 Player, then put your c.d. collection on MP3. I done that, and I have just over 9GB. Then all you need to do is install Apache::MP3 on our server, and everything is nice and simple. Oh yeah, and CDDB::File is also nice, then you can shove your file into a db and the next time you want to see if you have a track you can do it easily. I am a geek, but I found the whole thing fun.

Yeah that's a great idea, I'm suprised Sony haven't patented that, it seems so much easier than putting a MD in your recorder and pressing play. ;-)
Freakin' Geeks!!
