I am doing some work with some data from the students record system.
The two useful fields for most of the systems here are the student record number and their pin.
The pin is stored in the database with the column name Nsp. This confused me until I asked an old hand why this was so. Apparently the guy who set it up knew the pin was sensitive and instead of storing it in an encrypted fashion, he called the column Nsp for 'Not student pin', in order to confuse a would be mailicious hacker.....Genius!!!
