I bit the bullet last night and ordered the Sony dvd camera http://www.camerasdirect.co.uk/desc.asp?id=3021 from these guys, the price was 200 less than the Sony site and they threw in a free portable Pico 2 dvd player, thus avoiding the possible conflict with the 8cm dvds not playing on my dvd player. Just need to find somewhere that sells the media for them, amazon have a 2 week lead time on the blinking things. I guarantee they end up like Betamax. I like them though it seems shoddy buying a digital camcorder to have it write to tape.
