Inspiration

Inspiration for a post is gleaned from a couple of other blogs, as my hedonistic Easter break of laying paving a new patio does not make exciting reading, but I will post pictures sometime, when it's sunny.
Russell mentions this article about how little a band can make when signed.
This got me thinking about the recent article about McDonalds offering royalties to rappers for a product mention.
Fifty Cent's gonna drink Bacardi like it's your birthday is the obvious one I can think of, aswell as mentions of Cristal and the bizzare thought of Puff Daddy and Busta Rhymes passing the courvoisier.
This article states that the rappers will get $5 for every mention of a big mac in a song played on the radio. Serious coinage.
I'm looking forward to hearing and seeing the songs that take advantage of this, how do you make big macs hip hop? Actually having written that my brain just came up with a suitable idea, but committing it to print would show just how in the gutter my humour is.
Stray Taoist's post about the great egg hunt, pulled some memory of Heinz Wolff's great 80's tv show The Great Egg Race from way back in the greay matter.
Theme tune available here, surprisingly I don't remember the tune at all.

The title sequence was surely the inspiration for thon Honda advert based on this.

Car Boot Sales

I have a collection of junk collected over the last year or so, all the ebay stuff has gone, and I need a good car boot sale to go to. As it's now in the car boot season, can anyone recommend a suitable car boot sale that gets a good turn out?

Here is a picture of

Here is a picture of an albino peacock, I wish I had taken it, but I donwloaded it from istock. Rebecca informs me that we saw one last year in Tannaghmore Gardens, near Craigavon Lakes last August. I dispute the fact, and think she fabricated the story, so don't drive there especially to see the albino peacock. Although Tannaghmore Gardens is a nice place, with a great little farm animal zoo.

Pacman

Computer game classic Pac-Man was first launched in 1980 in Japan, under the name Puck-Man, where it was an instant big hit. When the game was licensed for the US, the name was changed to Pac-Man so American kids would not be tempted to scratch off part of the P in the original name to make an F.
Following on in the Pac Man theme:
http://pacmanhattan.com/about.php is a large-scale urban game that utilizes the New York City grid to recreate the 1980's video game sensation Pac-Man.

Uncle Andy

Became an uncle for the third time last night, this one the first from my bloodline. Rachel Rebecca weighing 8lbs 4ozs was born at 2.30am last night. My sister is glad she eventually arrived over a week late, even if it was by the non conventional route.
